Group Training Sessions in Berwick

 

Group Personal Training, or “Boot Camp”, is a fantastic way to exercise & have fun at the same time!


Many people who start an exercise program find themselves dropping off after a month or so, and most of the time this is because of lack of motivation. This is why group training is such an effective way to exercise. Over the past 20 years running group training classes, one thing learned is that no person will ever push themselves as hard in a group class than you will by yourself. It's not a competition thing, but more a camaraderie thing; where you're all working together - pushing yourselves together, suffering together AND laughing together!


Each session varies in the exercises we do (weight training, functional training, HIIT, boxing and much more), and ALL sessions cater for ALL fitness levels. We often run circuit style sessions, where each participant does an exercise for a certain duration of time before switching stations, that way every person is working as hard as THEY can; ensuring everyone gets an effective workout without feeling like they're holding anyone up.

We currently run group sessions:

Tuesday: 6am, 9:30am and 6pm (all 45 minute sessions)

Thursday: 6am, 9:30am and 6pm (all 45 minute sessions)

Saturday: 8:30am (1 hour)

 

** No lock in contracts **

 

Our group sessions cost only $15 per session casually, or you can purchase a 10 session pass for $130 or a 20 session pass for $220. We also offer a weekly "membership", where from week to week you can pay $30 for the week which entitles you to unlimited group sessions (Boot Camp & Zumba).

 

If possible, we ask people to book into classes (it makes the sign in process much quicker and easier at class, plus it helps with session planning to know how many people are coming along). Why consider doing group sessions?


1. HELPS YOU PUSH YOURSELF HARDER 


Most people rarely push themselves as hard as an exercise professional will. We certainly won’t do anything to cause you physical injury, but we will push you to work harder than you normally would on your own. This helps you build stronger muscles faster, develop better endurance, and accelerate your fitness goals.


2.  QUICK RESULTS


A high-intensity program can help you burn between 700 and 1000 calories in just one 60-minute class. With the use of many different physical activities such as band training, ball exercises, dumbbells, high intensity interval training, plyometrics, cardio drills and resistance training, the combination of exercises will boost results much quicker than typical exercises and workout classes.


3. COSTS LESS THAN A PERSONAL TRAINER


Whilst a group class can’t offer exactly the same level of 'personal service' as a personal trainer we certainly strive to offer many of the benefits, but with less than half the cost. Group classes are much more cost effective for the participant than hiring a personal trainer. This is simply because the group class is designed to deliver training for a small group of around 15 people for the hour.


4. SUPPORT GROUP 


Much like any program or association, when people are all going through the same thing together a common bond is formed. Boot Camp is no different, you will form friendships within your group. This helps you stick with your workout program, and provides you with instant “accountability” partners. Everyone who is there will help motivate and provide guidance to anyone who is struggling or if they’re new to the group. Everyone works to keep you on target and feeling good about yourself.


5. IT IS FUN 


The camaraderie, the intensity, and the different exercises all make boot camp a lot more fun than typical programs. If you are stuck in the same boring routine day in and day out, chances are your enthusiasm for working out may “fizzle”. Boot Camp helps you get “fired” up and stay fired up about training again and again.
