Why consider doing Zumba?
1. Weight Loss through Calorie Burn
One of the most important benefits is the dance routine’s ability to cut weight. A fun, high intensity workout improves your cardiovascular system, which helps you to get rid of that unwanted weight. A class is usually an hour long and during that hour participants will be burning around 500 to 700 calories at a minimum. That's on par when compared to the amount of calories burnt in other exercises but the best part about it is that you won’t even notice all the effort in getting through that one hour.
2. Overall Body Toning
While performing other exercises like running on a treadmill or lifting weights, one can only target a few muscles that work strenuously to tone themselves over time. Zumba provides an added benefit of being able to tone your whole body because it is a complete body work out. You will be performing squats, twists and arm movements that will allow your whole body to participate in the exercise.

A Zumbathon isn't just a long Zumba class; it’s the easiest 2 hours of exercise you will ever do. Often the evening will have a fancy dress theme (80s, Purple, Glow Stick and Pink just to name a few) and will also include guest instructors and pre-choreographed songs just for some added fun and your entertainment.
